সূরা আল মুরসালাত - Surah Al-Mursalat (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ - Ayah 50)

      

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু।

 

 

(1

وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا

কল্যাণের জন্যে প্রেরিত বায়ুর শপথ,

By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit);

(2

فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا

সজোরে প্রবাহিত ঝটিকার শপথ,

Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts,

(3

وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا

মেঘবিস্তৃতকারী বায়ুর শপথ

And scatter (things) far and wide;

(4

فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا

মেঘপুঞ্জ বিতরণকারী বায়ুর শপথ এবং

Then separate them, one from another,

(5

فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا

ওহী নিয়ে অবতরণকারী ফেরেশতাগণের শপথ-

Then spread abroad a Message,

(6

عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا

ওযর-আপত্তির অবকাশ না রাখার জন্যে অথবা সতর্ক করার জন্যে।

Whether of Justification or of Warning;-

(7

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ

নিশ্চয়ই তোমাদেরকে প্রদত্ত ওয়াদা বাস্তবায়িত হবে।

Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass.

(8

فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ

অতঃপর যখন নক্ষত্রসমুহ নির্বাপিত হবে,

Then when the stars become dim;

(9

وَإِذَا السَّمَاء فُرِجَتْ

যখন আকাশ ছিদ্রযুক্ত হবে,

When the heaven is cleft asunder;

 

(10

وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ

যখন পর্বতমালাকে উড়িয়ে দেয়া হবে এবং

When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust;

(11

وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ

যখন রসূলগণের একত্রিত হওয়ার সময় নিরূপিত হবে,

And when the apostles are (all) appointed a time (to collect);-

(12

لِأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ

এসব বিষয় কোন দিবসের জন্যে স্থগিত রাখা হয়েছে?

For what Day are these (portents) deferred?

(13

لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ

বিচার দিবসের জন্য।

For the Day of Sorting out.

(14

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ

আপনি জানেন বিচার দিবস কি?

And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out?

(15

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেদিন মিথ্যারোপকারীদের দুর্ভোগ হবে।

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

(16

أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ

আমি কি পূর্ববর্তীদেরকে ধ্বংস করিনি?

Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)?

(17

ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْآخِرِينَ

অতঃপর তাদের পশ্চাতে প্রেরণ করব পরবর্তীদেরকে।

So shall We make later (generations) follow them.

(18

كَذَلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ

অপরাধীদের সাথে আমি এরূপই করে থাকি।

Thus do We deal with men of sin.

(19

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেদিন মিথ্যারোপকারীদের দুর্ভোগ হবে।

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

 

(20

أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّاء مَّهِينٍ

আমি কি তোমাদেরকে তুচ্ছ পানি থেকে সৃষ্টি করিনি?

Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?-

(21

فَجَعَلْنَاهُ فِي قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ

অতঃপর আমি তা রেখেছি এক সংরক্ষিত আধারে,

The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed,

(22

إِلَى قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ

এক নির্দিষ্টকাল পর্যন্ত,

For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)?

(23

فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ

অতঃপর আমি পরিমিত আকারে সৃষ্টি করেছি, আমি কত সক্ষম স্রষ্টা?

For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things).

(24

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেদিন মিথ্যারোপকারীদের দুর্ভোগ হবে।

Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth!

(25

أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا

আমি কি পৃথিবীকে সৃষ্টি করিনি ধারণকারিণীরূপে,

Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together.

(26

أَحْيَاء وَأَمْوَاتًا

জীবিত ও মৃতদেরকে?

The living and the dead,

(27

وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُم مَّاء فُرَاتًا

আমি তাতে স্থাপন করেছি মজবুত সুউচ্চ পর্বতমালা এবং পান করিয়েছি তোমাদেরকে তৃষ্ণা নিবারণকারী সুপেয় পানি।

And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)?

(28

وَيْلٌ يوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেদিন মিথ্যারোপকারীদের দুর্ভোগ হবে।

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

(29

انطَلِقُوا إِلَى مَا كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ

চল তোমরা তারই দিকে, যাকে তোমরা মিথ্যা বলতে।

(It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false!

 

(30

انطَلِقُوا إِلَى ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ

চল তোমরা তিন কুন্ডলীবিশিষ্ট ছায়ার দিকে,

"Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns,

(31

لَا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ

যে ছায়া সুনিবিড় নয় এবং অগ্নির উত্তাপ থেকে রক্ষা করে না।

"(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze.

(32

إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ

এটা অট্টালিকা সদৃশ বৃহৎ স্ফুলিংগ নিক্ষেপ করবে।

"Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts,

(33

كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ

যেন সে পীতবর্ণ উষ্ট্রশ্রেণী।

"As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)."

(34

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেদিন মিথ্যারোপকারীদের দুর্ভোগ হবে।

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

(35

هَذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ

এটা এমন দিন, যেদিন কেউ কথা বলবে না।

That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak.

(36

وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ

এবং কাউকে তওবা করার অনুমতি দেয়া হবে না।

Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas.

(37

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেদিন মিথ্যারোপকারীদের দুর্ভোগ হবে।

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

(38

هَذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ

এটা বিচার দিবস, আমি তোমাদেরকে এবং তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীদেরকে একত্রিত করেছি।

That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)!

(39

فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ

অতএব, তোমাদের কোন অপকৌশল থাকলে তা প্রয়োগ কর আমার কাছে।

Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me!

 

(40

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেদিন মিথ্যারোপকারীদের দুর্ভোগ হবে।

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

(41

إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ

নিশ্চয় খোদাভীরুরা থাকবে ছায়ায় এবং প্রস্রবণসমূহে-

As to the Righteous, they shall be amidst (cool) shades and springs (of water).

(42

وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ

এবং তাদের বাঞ্ছিত ফল-মূলের মধ্যে।

And (they shall have) fruits,- all they desire.

(43

كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

বলা হবেঃ তোমরা যা করতে তার বিনিময়ে তৃপ্তির সাথে পানাহার কর।

"Eat ye and drink ye to your heart's content: for that ye worked (Righteousness).

(44

إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنينَ

এভাবেই আমি সৎকর্মশীলদেরকে পুরস্কৃত করে থাকি।

Thus do We certainly reward the Doers of Good.

(45

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেদিন মিথ্যারোপকারীদের দুর্ভোগ হবে।

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

(46

كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ

কাফেরগণ, তোমরা কিছুদিন খেয়ে নাও এবং ভোগ করে নাও। তোমরা তো অপরাধী।

(O ye unjust!) Eat ye and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, for that ye are Sinners.

(47

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেদিন মিথ্যারোপকারীদের দুর্ভোগ হবে।

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

(48

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ

যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয়, নত হও, তখন তারা নত হয় না।

And when it is said to them, "Prostrate yourselves!" they do not so.

(49

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেদিন মিথ্যারোপকারীদের দুর্ভোগ হবে।

Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

 

(50

فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ

এখন কোন কথায় তারা এরপর বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করবে?

Then what Message, after that, will they believe in

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু।

 

 

(1

عَمَّ يَتَسَاءلُونَ

তারা পরস্পরে কি বিষয়ে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করছে?

Concerning what are they disputing?

(2

عَنِ النَّبَإِ الْعَظِيمِ

মহা সংবাদ সম্পর্কে,

Concerning the Great News,

(3

لَّذِي هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ

যে সম্পর্কে তারা মতানৈক্য করে।

About which they cannot agree.

(4

كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ

না, সত্ত্বরই তারা জানতে পারবে,

Verily, they shall soon (come to) know!

(5

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ

অতঃপর না, সত্বর তারা জানতে পারবে।

Verily, verily they shall soon (come to) know!

(6

أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ مِهَادًا

আমি কি করিনি ভূমিকে বিছানা

Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse,

(7

وَالْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا

এবং পর্বতমালাকে পেরেক?

And the mountains as pegs?

(8

وَخَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا

আমি তোমাদেরকে জোড়া জোড়া সৃষ্টি করেছি,

And (have We not) created you in pairs,

(9

وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا

তোমাদের নিদ্রাকে করেছি ক্লান্তি দূরকারী,

And made your sleep for rest,

 

(10

وَجَعَلْنَا اللَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا

রাত্রিকে করেছি আবরণ।

And made the night as a covering,

(11

وَجَعَلْنَا النَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا

দিনকে করেছি জীবিকা অর্জনের সময়,

And made the day as a means of subsistence?

(12

وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا

নির্মান করেছি তোমাদের মাথার উপর মজবুত সপ্ত-আকাশ।

And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments,

(13

وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا

এবং একটি উজ্জ্বল প্রদীপ সৃষ্টি করেছি।

And placed (therein) a Light of Splendour?

(14

وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُعْصِرَاتِ مَاء ثَجَّاجًا

আমি জলধর মেঘমালা থেকে প্রচুর বৃষ্টিপাত করি,

And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance,

(15

لِنُخْرِجَ بِهِ حَبًّا وَنَبَاتًا

যাতে তদ্দ্বারা উৎপন্ন করি শস্য, উদ্ভিদ।

That We may produce therewith corn and vegetables,

(16

وَجَنَّاتٍ أَلْفَافًا

ও পাতাঘন উদ্যান।

And gardens of luxurious growth?

(17

إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَاتًا

নিশ্চয় বিচার দিবস নির্ধারিত রয়েছে।

Verily the Day of Sorting out is a thing appointed,

(18

يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًا

যেদিন শিংগায় ফুঁক দেয়া হবে, তখন তোমরা দলে দলে সমাগত হবে।

The Day that the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds;

(19

وَفُتِحَتِ السَّمَاء فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَابًا

আকাশ বিদীর্ণ হয়ে; তাতে বহু দরজা সৃষ্টি হবে।

And the heavens shall be opened as if there were doors,

 

(20

وَسُيِّرَتِ الْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا

এবং পর্বতমালা চালিত হয়ে মরীচিকা হয়ে যাবে।

And the mountains shall vanish, as if they were a mirage.

(21

إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا

নিশ্চয় জাহান্নাম প্রতীক্ষায় থাকবে,

Truly Hell is as a place of ambush,

(22

لِلْطَّاغِينَ مَآبًا

সীমালংঘনকারীদের আশ্রয়স্থলরূপে।

For the transgressors a place of destination:

(23

لَابِثِينَ فِيهَا أَحْقَابًا

তারা তথায় শতাব্দীর পর শতাব্দী অবস্থান করবে।

They will dwell therein for ages.

(24

لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا

তথায় তারা কোন শীতল এবং পানীয় আস্বাদন করবে না;

Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink,

(25

إِلَّا حَمِيمًا وَغَسَّاقًا

কিন্তু ফুটন্ত পানি ও পূঁজ পাবে।

Save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold,

(26

جَزَاء وِفَاقًا

পরিপূর্ণ প্রতিফল হিসেবে।

A fitting recompense (for them).

(27

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًا

নিশ্চয় তারা হিসাব-নিকাশ আশা করত না।

For that they used not to fear any account (for their deeds),

(28

وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا كِذَّابًا

এবং আমার আয়াতসমূহে পুরোপুরি মিথ্যারোপ করত।

But they (impudently) treated Our Signs as false.

(29

وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ كِتَابًا

আমি সবকিছুই লিপিবদ্ধ করে সংরক্ষিত করেছি।

And all things have We preserved on record.

 

(30

فَذُوقُوا فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا

অতএব, তোমরা আস্বাদন কর, আমি কেবল তোমাদের শাস্তিই বৃদ্ধি করব।

"So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment."

(31

إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا

পরহেযগারদের জন্যে রয়েছে সাফল্য।

Verily for the Righteous there will be a fulfilment of (the heart's) desires;

(32

حَدَائِقَ وَأَعْنَابًا

উদ্যান, আঙ্গুর,

Gardens enclosed, and grapevines;

(33

وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًا

সমবয়স্কা, পূর্ণযৌবনা তরুণী।

Companions of equal age;

(34

وَكَأْسًا دِهَاقًا

এবং পূর্ণ পানপাত্র।

And a cup full (to the brim).

(35

لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا كِذَّابًا

তারা তথায় অসার ও মিথ্যা বাক্য শুনবে না।

No vanity shall they hear therein, nor Untruth:-

(36

جَزَاء مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَاء حِسَابًا

এটা আপনার পালনকর্তার তরফ থেকে যথোচিত দান,

Recompense from thy Lord, a gift, (amply) sufficient,

(37

رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا الرحْمَنِ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًا

যিনি নভোমন্ডল, ভূমন্ডল ও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী সবকিছুর পালনকর্তা, দয়াময়, কেউ তাঁর সাথে কথার অধিকারী হবে না।

(From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between, ((Allah)) Most Gracious: None shall have power to argue with Him.

(38

يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الرُّوحُ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ صَفًّا لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ الرحْمَنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا

যেদিন রূহ ও ফেরেশতাগণ সারিবদ্ধভাবে দাঁড়াবে। দয়াময় আল্লাহ যাকে অনুমতি দিবেন, সে ব্যতিত কেউ কথা বলতে পারবে না এবং সে সত্যকথা বলবে।

The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand forth in ranks, none shall speak except any who is permitted by ((Allah)) Most Gracious, and He will say what is right.

(39

ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الْحَقُّ فَمَن شَاء اتَّخَذَ إِلَى رَبِّهِ مَآبًا

এই দিবস সত্য। অতঃপর যার ইচ্ছা, সে তার পালনকর্তার কাছে ঠিকানা তৈরী করুক।

That Day will be the sure Reality: Therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) return to his Lord!

 

(40

إِنَّا أَنذَرْنَاكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيبًا يَوْمَ يَنظُرُ الْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ الْكَافِرُ يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنتُ تُرَابًا

আমি তোমাদেরকে আসন্ন শাস্তি সম্পর্কে সতর্ক করলাম, যেদিন মানুষ প্রত্যেক্ষ করবে যা সে সামনে প্রেরণ করেছে এবং কাফের বলবেঃ হায়, আফসোস-আমি যদি মাটি হয়ে যেতাম।

Verily, We have warned you of a Penalty near, the Day when man will see (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the Unbeliever will say, "Woe unto me! Would that I were (metre) dust!"

সূরা আল জিন - Surah Al-Jinn (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ - Ayah 28)

  

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু।

 

(1

قُلْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ اسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ فَقَالُوا إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْآنًا عَجَبًا

বলুনঃ আমার প্রতি ওহী নাযিল করা হয়েছে যে, জিনদের একটি দল কোরআন শ্রবণ করেছে, অতঃপর তারা বলেছেঃ আমরা বিস্ময়কর কোরআন শ্রবণ করেছি;

Say: It has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Qur'an). They said, 'We have really heard a wonderful Recital!

يَهْدِي إِلَى الرُّشْدِ فَآمَنَّا بِهِ وَلَن نُّشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَا أَحَدًا

যা সৎপথ প্রদর্শন করে। ফলে আমরা তাতে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছি। আমরা কখনও আমাদের পালনকর্তার সাথে কাউকে শরীক করব না।

'It gives guidance to the Right, and we have believed therein: we shall not join (in worship) any (gods) with our Lord.

(3

وَأَنَّهُ تَعَالَى جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا اتَّخَذَ صَاحِبَةً وَلَا وَلَدًا

এবং আরও বিশ্বাস করি যে, আমাদের পালনকর্তার মহান মর্যাদা সবার উর্ধ্বে। তিনি কোন পত্নী গ্রহণ করেননি এবং তাঁর কোন সন্তান নেই।

'And Exalted is the Majesty of our Lord: He has taken neither a wife nor a son.

(4

وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَفِيهُنَا عَلَى اللَّهِ شَطَطًا

আমাদের মধ্যে নির্বোধেরা আল্লাহ তা’আলা সম্পর্কে বাড়াবাড়ির কথাবার্তা বলত।

'There were some foolish ones among us, who used to utter extravagant lies against Allah.

(5

وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّا أَن لَّن تَقُولَ الْإِنسُ وَالْجِنُّ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا

অথচ আমরা মনে করতাম, মানুষ ও জিন কখনও আল্লাহ তা’আলা সম্পর্কে মিথ্যা বলতে পারে না।

'But we do think that no man or spirit should say aught that untrue against Allah.

وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِّنَ الْإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمْ رَهَقًا

অনেক মানুষ অনেক জিনের আশ্রয় নিত, ফলে তারা জিনদের আত্নম্ভরিতা বাড়িয়ে দিত।

'True, there were persons among mankind who took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they increased them in folly.

(7

وَأَنَّهُمْ ظَنُّوا كَمَا ظَنَنتُمْ أَن لَّن يَبْعَثَ اللَّهُ أَحَدًا

তারা ধারণা করত, যেমন তোমরা মানবেরা ধারণা কর যে, মৃত্যুর পর আল্লাহ তা’আলা কখনও কাউকে পুনরুত্থিত করবেন না।

 

'And they (came to) think as ye thought, that Allah would not raise up any one (to Judgment).

(8

وَأَنَّا لَمَسْنَا السَّمَاء فَوَجَدْنَاهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَسًا شَدِيدًا وَشُهُبًا

আমরা আকাশ পর্যবেক্ষণ করছি, অতঃপর দেখতে পেয়েছি যে, কঠোর প্রহরী ও উল্কাপিন্ড দ্বারা আকাশ পরিপূর্ণ।

'And we pried into the secrets of heaven; but we found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires.

(9

وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مِنْهَا مَقَاعِدَ لِلسَّمْعِ فَمَن يَسْتَمِعِ الْآنَ يَجِدْ لَهُ شِهَابًا رَّصَدًا

আমরা আকাশের বিভিন্ন ঘাঁটিতে সংবাদ শ্রবণার্থে বসতাম। এখন কেউ সংবাদ শুনতে চাইলে সে জলন্ত উল্কাপিন্ড ওঁৎ পেতে থাকতে দেখে।

'We used, indeed, to sit there in (hidden) stations, to (steal) a hearing; but any who listen now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush.

 

(10

وَأَنَّا لَا نَدْرِي أَشَرٌّ أُرِيدَ بِمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ أَمْ أَرَادَ بِهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ رَشَدًا

আমরা জানি না পৃথিবীবাসীদের অমঙ্গল সাধন করা অভীষ্ট, না তাদের পালনকর্তা তাদের মঙ্গল সাধন করার ইচ্ছা রাখেন।

'And we understand not whether ill is intended to those on earth, or whether their Lord (really) intends to guide them to right conduct.

(11

وَأَنَّا مِنَّا الصَّالِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَلِكَ كُنَّا طَرَائِقَ قِدَدًا

আমাদের কেউ কেউ সৎকর্মপরায়ণ এবং কেউ কেউ এরূপ নয়। আমরা ছিলাম বিভিন্ন পথে বিভক্ত।

'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary: we follow divergent paths.

(12

وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّا أَن لَّن نُّعجِزَ اللَّهَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَن نُّعْجِزَهُ هَرَبًا

আমরা বুঝতে পেরেছি যে, আমরা পৃথিবীতে আল্লাহ তা’আলাকে পরাস্ত করতে পারব না এবং পলায়ন করেও তাকে অপারক করত পরব না।

'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight.

(13

وَأَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعْنَا الْهُدَى آمَنَّا بِهِ فَمَن يُؤْمِن بِرَبِّهِ فَلَا يَخَافُ بَخْسًا وَلَا رَهَقًا

আমরা যখন সুপথের নির্দেশ শুনলাম, তখন তাতে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করলাম। অতএব, যে তার পালনকর্তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস করে, সে লোকসান ও জোর-জবরের আশংকা করে না।

'And as for us, since we have listened to the Guidance, we have accepted it: and any who believes in his Lord has no fear, either of a short (account) or of any injustice.

(14

وَأَنَّا مِنَّا الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ فَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ فَأُوْلَئِكَ تَحَرَّوْا رَشَدًا

আমাদের কিছুসংখ্যক আজ্ঞাবহ এবং কিছুসংখ্যক অন্যায়কারী। যারা আজ্ঞাবহ হয়, তারা সৎপথ বেছে নিয়েছে।

 

'Amongst us are some that submit their wills (to Allah., and some that swerve from justice. Now those who submit their wills - they have sought out (the path) of right conduct:

(15

وَأَمَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ فَكَانُوا لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبًا

আর যারা অন্যায়কারী, তারা তো জাহান্নামের ইন্ধন।

'But those who swerve,- they are (but) fuel for Hell-fire'-

(16

وَأَلَّوِ اسْتَقَامُوا عَلَى الطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسْقَيْنَاهُم مَّاء غَدَقًا

আর এই প্রত্যাদেশ করা হয়েছে যে, তারা যদি সত্যপথে কায়েম থাকত, তবে আমি তাদেরকে প্রচুর পানি বর্ষণে সিক্ত করতাম।

(And Allah.s Message is): "If they (the Pagans) had (only) remained on the (right) Way, We should certainly have bestowed on them Rain in abundance.

(17

لِنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيهِ وَمَن يُعْرِضْ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِ يَسْلُكْهُ عَذَابًا صَعَدًا

যাতে এ ব্যাপারে তাদেরকে পরীক্ষা করি। পক্ষান্তরে যে ব্যক্তি তার পালনকর্তার স্মরণ থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, তিনি তাকে উদীয়মান আযাবে পরিচালিত করবেন।

"That We might try them by that (means). But if any turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to undergo a severe Penalty.

(18

وَأَنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ أَحَدًا

এবং এই ওহীও করা হয়েছে যে, মসজিদসমূহ আল্লাহ তা’আলাকে স্মরণ করার জন্য। অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহ তা’আলার সাথে কাউকে ডেকো না।

"And the places of worship are for Allah (alone): So invoke not any one along with Allah.

(19

وَأَنَّهُ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَدْعُوهُ كَادُوا يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًا

আর যখন আল্লাহ তা’আলার বান্দা তাঁকে ডাকার জন্যে দন্ডায়মান হল, তখন অনেক জিন তার কাছে ভিড় জমাল।

"Yet when the Devotee of Allah stands forth to invoke Him, they just make round him a dense crowd."

 

(20

قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَدْعُو رَبِّي وَلَا أُشْرِكُ بِهِ أَحَدًا

বলুনঃ আমি তো আমার পালনকর্তাকেই ডাকি এবং তাঁর সাথে কাউকে শরীক করি না।

Say: "I do no more than invoke my Lord, and I join not with Him any (false god)."

(21

قُلْ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا رَشَدًا

বলুনঃ আমি তোমাদের ক্ষতি সাধন করার ও সুপথে আনয়ন করার মালিক নই।

Say: "It is not in my power to cause you harm, or to bring you to right conduct."

(22

قُلْ إِنِّي لَن يُجِيرَنِي مِنَ اللَّهِ أَحَدٌ وَلَنْ أَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِ مُلْتَحَدًا

বলুনঃ আল্লাহ তা’আলার কবল থেকে আমাকে কেউ রক্ষা করতে পারবে না এবং তিনি ব্যতীত আমি কোন আশ্রয়স্থল পাব না।

Say: "No one can deliver me from Allah (If I were to disobey Him), nor should I find refuge except in Him,

(23

إِلَّا بَلَاغًا مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرِسَالَاتِهِ وَمَن يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَإِنَّ لَهُ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا

কিন্তু আল্লাহ তা’আলার বাণী পৌছানো ও তাঁর পয়গাম প্রচার করাই আমার কাজ। যে আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলকে অমান্য করে, তার জন্যে রয়েছে জাহান্নামের অগ্নি। তথায় তারা চিরকাল থাকবে।

"Unless I proclaim what I receive from Allah and His Messages: for any that disobey Allah and His Messenger,- for them is Hell: they shall dwell therein for ever."

(24

حَتَّى إِذَا رَأَوْا مَا يُوعَدُونَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَضْعَفُ نَاصِرًا وَأَقَلُّ عَدَدًا

এমনকি যখন তারা প্রতিশ্রুত শাস্তি দেখতে পাবে, তখন তারা জানতে পারবে, কার সাহায্যকারী দূর্বল এবং কার সংখ্যা কম।

At length, when they see (with their own eyes) that which they are promised,- then will they know who it is that is weakest in (his) helper and least important in point of numbers.

(25

قُلْ إِنْ أَدْرِي أَقَرِيبٌ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ أَمْ يَجْعَلُ لَهُ رَبِّي أَمَدًا

বলুনঃ আমি জানি না তোমাদের প্রতিশ্রুত বিষয় আসন্ন না আমার পালনকর্তা এর জন্যে কোন মেয়াদ স্থির করে রেখেছেন।

Say: "I know not whether the (Punishment) which ye are promised is near, or whether my Lord will appoint for it a distant term.

(26

عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ فَلَا يُظْهِرُ عَلَى غَيْبِهِ أَحَدًا

তিনি অদৃশ্যের জ্ঞানী। পরন্ত তিনি অদৃশ্য বিষয় কারও কাছে প্রকাশ করেন না।

"He (alone) knows the Unseen, nor does He make any one acquainted with His Mysteries,-

(27

إِلَّا مَنِ ارْتَضَى مِن رَّسُولٍ فَإِنَّهُ يَسْلُكُ مِن بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ رَصَدًا

তাঁর মনোনীত রসূল ব্যতীত। তখন তিনি তার অগ্রে ও পশ্চাতে প্রহরী নিযুক্ত করেন

"Except an apostle whom He has chosen: and then He makes a band of watchers march before him and behind him,

لِيَعْلَمَ أَن قَدْ أَبْلَغُوا رِسَالَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَأَحَاطَ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ وَأَحْصَى كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عَدَدًا

যাতে আল্লাহ তা’আলা জেনে নেন যে, রসূলগণ তাঁদের পালনকর্তার পয়গাম পৌছিয়েছেন কি না। রসূলগণের কাছে যা আছে, তা তাঁর জ্ঞান-গোচর। তিনি সবকিছুর সংখ্যার হিসাব রাখেন।

"That He may know that they have (truly) brought and delivered the Messages of their Lord: and He surrounds (all the mysteries) that are with them, and takes account of every single thing."

সূরা আন-নযিআ’ত - Surah An-Nazi'at (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ - Ayah 46)

 

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু।

 

(1

وَالنَّازِعَاتِ غَرْقًا

শপথ সেই ফেরেশতাগণের, যারা ডুব দিয়ে আত্মা উৎপাটন করে,

By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence;

(2

وَالنَّاشِطَاتِ نَشْطًا

শপথ তাদের, যারা আত্মার বাঁধন খুলে দেয় মৃদুভাবে;

By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed);

(3

وَالسَّابِحَاتِ سَبْحًا

শপথ তাদের, যারা সন্তরণ করে দ্রুতগতিতে,

And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy),

(4

فَالسَّابِقَاتِ سَبْقًا

শপথ তাদের, যারা দ্রুতগতিতে অগ্রসর হয় এবং

Then press forward as in a race,

(5

فَالْمُدَبِّرَاتِ أَمْرًا

শপথ তাদের, যারা সকল কর্মনির্বাহ করে, কেয়ামত অবশ্যই হবে।

Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord),

(6

يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُ

যেদিন প্রকম্পিত করবে প্রকম্পিতকারী,

One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion,

(7

تَتْبَعُهَا الرَّادِفَةُ

অতঃপর পশ্চাতে আসবে পশ্চাদগামী;

Followed by oft-repeated (commotions):

(8

قُلُوبٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاجِفَةٌ

সেদিন অনেক হৃদয় ভীত-বিহবল হবে।

Hearts that Day will be in agitation;

(9

أَبْصَارُهَا خَاشِعَةٌ

তাদের দৃষ্টি নত হবে।

Cast down will be (their owners') eyes.

 

(10

يَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِي الْحَافِرَةِ

তারা বলেঃ আমরা কি উলটো পায়ে প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবই-

They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state?

(11

أَئِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا نَّخِرَةً

গলিত অস্থি হয়ে যাওয়ার পরও?

"What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?"

(12

قَالُوا تِلْكَ إِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ

তবে তো এ প্রত্যাবর্তন সর্বনাশা হবে!

They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!"

(13

فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ

অতএব, এটা তো কেবল এক মহা-নাদ,

But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry,

(14

فَإِذَا هُم بِالسَّاهِرَةِ

তখনই তারা ময়দানে আবির্ভূত হবে।

When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment).

(15

هَلْ أتَاكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَى

মূসার বৃত্তান্ত আপনার কাছে পৌছেছে কি?

Has the story of Moses reached thee?

(16

إِذْ نَادَاهُ رَبُّهُ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى

যখন তার পালনকর্তা তাকে পবিত্র তুয়া উপ্যকায় আহবান করেছিলেন,

Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:-

(17

اذْهَبْ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَى

ফেরাউনের কাছে যাও, নিশ্চয় সে সীমালংঘন করেছে।

"Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds:

(18

فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَى أَن تَزَكَّى

অতঃপর বলঃ তোমার পবিত্র হওয়ার আগ্রহ আছে কি?

"And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?-

(19

وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَى

আমি তোমাকে তোমার পালনকর্তার দিকে পথ দেখাব, যাতে তুমি তাকে ভয় কর।

"'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'"

 

(20

فَأَرَاهُ الْآيَةَ الْكُبْرَى

অতঃপর সে তাকে মহা-নিদর্শন দেখাল।

Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign.

(21

فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَى

কিন্তু সে মিথ্যারোপ করল এবং অমান্য করল।

But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance);

(22

ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَى

অতঃপর সে প্রতিকার চেষ্টায় প্রস্থান করল।

Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah..

(23

فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَى

সে সকলকে সমবেত করল এবং সজোরে আহবান করল,

Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation,

(24

فَقَالَ أَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الْأَعْلَى

এবং বললঃ আমিই তোমাদের সেরা পালনকর্তা।

Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High".

(25

فَأَخَذَهُ اللَّهُ نَكَالَ الْآخِرَةِ وَالْأُولَى

অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাকে পরকালের ও ইহকালের শাস্তি দিলেন।

But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life.

(26

إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّمَن يَخْشَى

যে ভয় করে তার জন্যে অবশ্যই এতে শিক্ষা রয়েছে।

Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth ((Allah)).

(27

أَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ السَّمَاء بَنَاهَا

তোমাদের সৃষ্টি অধিক কঠিন না আকাশের, যা তিনি নির্মাণ করেছেন?

What! Are ye the more difficult to create or the heaven (above)? ((Allah)) hath constructed it:

(28

رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّاهَا

তিনি একে উচ্চ করেছেন ও সুবিন্যস্ত করেছেন।

On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection.

(29

وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَاهَا

তিনি এর রাত্রিকে করেছেন অন্ধকারাচ্ছন্ন এবং এর সূর্যোলোক প্রকাশ করেছেন।

Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light).

 

(30

وَالْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ دَحَاهَا

পৃথিবীকে এর পরে বিস্তৃত করেছেন।

And the earth, moreover, hath He extended (to a wide expanse);

(31

أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَاءهَا وَمَرْعَاهَا

তিনি এর মধ্য থেকে এর পানি ও ঘাম নির্গত করেছেন,

He draweth out therefrom its moisture and its pasture;

(32

وَالْجِبَالَ أَرْسَاهَا

পর্বতকে তিনি দৃঢ়ভাবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেছেন,

And the mountains hath He firmly fixed;-

(33

مَتَاعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَامِكُمْ

তোমাদের ও তোমাদের চতুস্পদ জন্তুদের উপকারার্থে।

For use and convenience to you and your cattle.

(34

فَإِذَا جَاءتِ الطَّامَّةُ الْكُبْرَى

অতঃপর যখন মহাসংকট এসে যাবে।

Therefore, when there comes the great, overwhelming (Event),-

(35

يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْإِنسَانُ مَا سَعَى

অর্থাৎ যেদিন মানুষ তার কৃতকর্ম স্মরণ করবে

The Day when man shall remember (all) that he strove for,

(36

وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَى

এবং দর্শকদের জন্যে জাহান্নাম প্রকাশ করা হবে,

And Hell-Fire shall be placed in full view for (all) to see,-

(37

فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَى

তখন যে ব্যক্তি সীমালংঘন করেছে;

Then, for such as had transgressed all bounds,

(38

وَآثَرَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا

এবং পার্থিব জীবনকে অগ্রাধিকার দিয়েছে,

And had preferred the life of this world,

(39

فَإِنَّ الْجَحِيمَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَى

তার ঠিকানা হবে জাহান্নাম।

The Abode will be Hell-Fire;

 

(40

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ وَنَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوَى

পক্ষান্তরে যে ব্যক্তি তার পালনকর্তার সামনে দন্ডায়মান হওয়াকে ভয় করেছে এবং খেয়াল-খুশী থেকে নিজেকে নিবৃত্ত রেখেছে,

And for such as had entertained the fear of standing before their Lord's (tribunal) and had restrained (their) soul from lower desires,

(41

فَإِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَى

তার ঠিকানা হবে জান্নাত।

Their abode will be the Garden.

(42

يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا

তারা আপনাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করে, কেয়ামত কখন হবে?

They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time?

(43

فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكْرَاهَا

এর বর্ণনার সাথে আপনার কি সম্পর্ক ?

Wherein art thou (concerned) with the declaration thereof?

(44

إِلَى رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَاهَا

এর চরম জ্ঞান আপনার পালনকর্তার কাছে।

With thy Lord in the Limit fixed therefor.

(45

إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخْشَاهَا

যে একে ভয় করে, আপনি তো কেবল তাকেই সতর্ক করবেন।

Thou art but a Warner for such as fear it.

(46

كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَاهَا

যেদিন তারা একে দেখবে, সেদিন মনে হবে যেন তারা দুনিয়াতে মাত্র এক সন্ধ্যা অথবা এক সকাল অবস্থান করেছে।

The Day they see it, (It will be) as if they had tarried but a single evening, or (at most till) the following morn!
